What is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 is a fractional skin treatment that stimulates collagen production of the underlying layers of the dermis. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, tissues of the face and body can be remodeled to reveal a more radiant youthful appearance.
What areas can be treated?
Morpheus8 can be used on any areas that can benefit from resurfacing and subdermal renewal. The most commonly treated areas include the face, undereye area, abdomen, jowls, jawline, thighs, legs, and buttocks.
How many sessions are recommended?
Your practitioner will suggest 3 or more sessions to be performed based on your personal goals. Treatment times and frequency will be specifically tailored to obtain your best results.
How quickly will I see results?
Visible results can be seen within a few days, usually texture and fine lines first and then more drastic results like skin tightening and fat reduction continue to improve up to three months after treatment.
What is the benefit of fractionated energy?
Radiofrequency (RF) energy is a scientifically proven method to remodel and rebuild collagen. It is minimally invasive, using a matrix of micro pins to renew the deeper layers of the skin with almost no downtime.
Can anyone get a Morpheus8 treatment?
The benefit of Morpheus8’s color blind technology is that it can be used on all skin types. The unique properties allow even darker tones to be treated. Some patients on blood thinning medications will not be good candidates, or patients who have significant health concerns. We always book consultations first, so you will know for sure if you are able to have a Morpheus8 treatment.
Can Morpheus8 be used in combination with other treatments?
Yes, Morpheus8 can be used in the same treatment session as PRP for a “vampire facial”, or a few days/weeks after other treatments like chemical peels. Morpheus8 can also be combined with other laser treatments like laser for sun damage or hair removal, or before dermal filler/Botox injections to achieve more extensive results.
When can I put makeup on after my treatment?
Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 2 days after treatment (once you are done applying your Aquaphor ointment). Patients can expect to see some micro lesions and slight redness for a few days to two weeks after treatment depending on what treatment parameters were used. Sometimes a bruise will occur, but we do our best to avoid bruising.
What kind of post procedure care is required?
We send you home with an after treatment kit that contains Aquaphor ointment, instructions to make a vinegar wash (which helps to easily remove the ointment), and a gentle cleanser/moisturizer/sunscreen. It is most important to avoid makeup for 2 days as it is a risk for infection, and to avoid sun exposure/hot environments as there is a risk for hyperpigmentation and increased irritation. We recommend using a sunscreen with over SPF40 everyday after your treatment to protect your investment, reduce the risk of skin cancers, and slow the aging process.
