If you must cancel or reschedule a cosmetic or provincial health-covered consultation, please let us know at least 24 hours before the appointment to avoid fees.
If you are cancelling a cosmetic surgery, please provide us with more than 30 days’ notice (over 4 weeks) for a full refund. If you must cancel with less than 4 weeks’ notice, a portion (or all) of your payment will not be refunded.
If you cancel a provincial health-covered surgery, please provide us with more than 30 days (over 4 weeks) notice. There will not be a fee charged, but Dr. Brooks can refuse to rebook you if you don’t show up for your scheduled surgery date. In that case, Dr. Brooks will send a letter to your family doctor requesting a referral be forwarded to another plastic surgeon, and you’ll be required to wait for a referral, wait for a consult, and wait for a new surgery date with a different surgeon.

Enforcing these policies is not something we enjoy, but the policies exist to respect the operating room and the staff, as well as the long waits patients have for some types of surgeries. We want to ensure the operating room is fully utilized, and individuals have the shortest possible wait times for their surgeries.
