Dermal Fillers can be injected into the skin to:

  • Fill in wrinkles
  • Increase volume
  • Shape and contour facial features
  • Hydrate and moisurize
  • Create balance and symmetry

Dermal Filler products are used to temporarily add volume or fill in wrinkles and folds by injecting Hyaluronic Acid (HA) gel into the skin.  HA is naturally produced by your body and is the safest product to use for dermal filler injections because it can be reversed with a product called hyaluronidase in the event of an emergency or a non-aesthetic outcome.  The fully absorbing HA gel integrates naturally into the tissue and over time is broken down by the body.

Who oversees all Dermal Filler treatment plans?

Dr. Brooks is a Canadian Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, which means he dedicated his education and training to achieving the highest level of achievement a plastic surgeon can obtain.  His training did not stop upon completion of his residency and board exams.  Dr. Brooks & the aesthetic nurses he has trained attend conferences and events multiple times each year so they may remain on top of the most current/safest/best practices in aesthetic surgery and injection techniques.

The nurses injecting dermal fillers at Essentials Medi-Spa had to put in 2000 hours of injection time under the guidance of Dr. Brooks before writing their Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist exams.  Having a plastic surgeon with extensive facial anatomy knowledge is the most valuable part of being on the Essentials Medi-Spa team.
